Specialized treatments offered at MedCare include:

Manual Stretching

Specialized hands-on techniques by our trained therapists to improve muscle flexibility and decrease muscle spasms

Big Program (Parkinson's Disease)

An exercise-based program for individuals with Parkinson’s disease or other neurological conditions to help improve movement quality. This program is customized to each person’s specific needs and goals. The program is a one-on-one treatment typically consisting of one-hour sessions 3-4x/week for 4 consecutive weeks.

Therapeutic Exercises

Customized exercises designed by the therapist to improve your mobility and function. Exercises may include stretching, strengthening, and balance exercises.

Electrical Stimulation

A treatment that applies electrical stimulation to the body to decrease muscle spasms and pain. It can also help build strength in patients with injuries.

Dry Needling

The use of a very fine filament needle that is inserted through the skin into deeper tissues to help stimulate a healing response by your body. The treatment is typically painless and can help a multitude of painful conditions involving the neck, back, arms, and legs.

Ultrasound

A treatment that applies ultrasound into the body to help heat tissue (can penetrate up to 5 cm into the body to reach deep areas that typically heating pads cannot) and stimulate blood flow to decrease swelling and inflammation. This is painless and often times relaxing.

Rock Blades

The use of specialized therapeutic tools (Rock Blades) to apply pressure/massage along the tissue to decrease adhesions and improve healing rates of the targeted tissue. The tools can oftentimes be used to allow the therapist to achieve greater depths of force to reach those deep painful trigger points in the body.

Traction

A form of decompression therapy that relieves pressure on the neck or back. It can be performed manually by one of our therapists or mechanically by a machine to get a precise amount of force. Traction is used to help treat herniated/bulging discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, stenosis, and many other back conditions.

Kinesiotaping

A specialized technique provided by our trained therapists that involve placing strips of specialized tape on your body in specific patterns to help improve mobility and support your joints, muscles, and tendons. Often times, the tape is left on 3-5 days to allow extended benefit.

Massage

A hands-on technique that involves manual manipulation of soft tissue to help release chronic muscle tension.

Cupping

This specialized technique involves placing special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create a suction. The suction provided by cupping can loosen muscle, increase blood flow, and relax the nervous system.

Posture Training

Assessment and education provided by the therapist to you that will help reduce stress and strain on the body during sitting, standing, sleeping, and work.
