David Briscoe, MPT
David is the owner and physical therapist of MedCare Therapy Center. David graduated summa cum Laude from West Virginia University’s Physical Therapy school with a master’s degree in physical therapy in 2001. While in school, he also became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Lora Briscoe
Lora is the wife of David. She graduated summa cum laude with her B.A. degree in education with a specialization in Science from Marshall University in 2000. Since David and Lora became owners of MedCare, she has filled the role as office manager. However, her primary duty is caring for their three girls (Kennedy, Jenna, and Sophie).
Rene’ Arthur, MPT
Rene’ joined MedCare in 2010 as a physical therapist. Rene’ brings a great deal of experience working with musculoskeletal injuries. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University’s Physical Therapy school with a master’s degree in physical therapy.
Katie Snodgrass, PTA
Katie is a physical therapist assistant who joined MedCare Therapy Center in 2007. She has a bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Care Administration and an associate’s degree in Applied Science from Fairmont State University. Her post-graduate education has focused on orthopedic rehabilitation of all musculoskeletal conditions with a special interest in sports rehab. Katie assists David with patient rehab/care and is an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor for PTA students.
Kathy Snodgrass
Kathy began working at MedCare in 2009 after running a daycare business for many years. Kathy serves a number of roles working in the front office at MedCare including answering phone calls, scheduling patients, and verifying insurance benefits. She enjoys meeting new patients, watching their progress in therapy, and seeing their smiles when they are finished.
Jessi Johnson, Massage Therapist
Jessi started working at MedCare in 2009. She works as one of our massage therapists and physical therapy technicians. She graduated from WV State University in 1999 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science and from Mountain State’s School of Massage Therapy in 2010. She is a member of the NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) and ABMP (Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals).
Bodhi Young, PTA
Bodhi started working at MedCare in May 2017 as a physical therapist assistant. He graduated from Mountwest Community College with an Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant and a certificate of proficiency in exercise science.
Sarah Cole, PTA
Sarah began working at MedCare in 2010 as a physical therapist assistant. She has her associate degree in physical therapy assisting from Marshall’s Community and Technical College. Sarah’s clinical experience has focused on the treatment of orthopedic injuries.
Taylor Brammer, Licensed Massage Therapist
Taylor rejoined MedCare in 2012. She graduated from Everett Institute in 2008 with a certificate in Massage Therapy. She is a WV licensed massage therapist and is nationally certified through the NCBTMB. Taylor assists the physical therapists with patients requiring massage and also has private clientele by appointment. Her continuing education has focused on clinical and orthopedic massage, and she is currently studying to be a certified orthopedic massage therapist.
Kimberlea Gray, CNA
Kimberlea joined MedCare in 2013 as a physical therapy technician. She is a CNA and has worked in the medical field for over 15 years.
Bradley "Brad" Franzen, DPT
Brad joined MedCare in 2019 after graduating from Marshall University with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. He works as the physical therapist in our Hurricane office. Brad enjoys being able to work with the diverse patient population at MedCare. He finds fulfillment in developing a sustainable routine that enables patients to continue making progress toward their goals long after they are discharged from the clinic. When he is not working, Brad likes working out in the gym, hiking, and is an avid supporter of his home state Iowa Hawkeyes athletic teams.
David Haynes, DPT
David began working at MedCare in 2019 as a physical therapist. He graduated from West Virginia University with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy in 2011. David’s clinical experience has focused on the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and post stroke rehabilitation. He has also received post-graduate training for treatment of concussion and movement treatment for Parkinson’s Disease
Erin Legg
Erin joined MedCare in 2019 and serves as the primary front office representative in our Hurricane office. Erins has multiple duties in the front office including scheduling patients, verifying insurance benefits, and getting authorizations. She loves getting to chat with patients and family members as they come into the waiting area.
Mary Leishman
Mary joined MedCare in 2020 and is our insurance liaison for our patients in the Cross Lanes office. She handles verifying insurance benefits and authorizations for the Cross Lanes office, a role that she has over 15 years of experience doing. When not contacting insurances, you will see Mary in the front office assisting with patient scheduling and answering calls. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, fishing and doing crafts.
Allie Hamilton
Allie joined the MedCare team in 2019 as a physical therapy technician and has worked assisting the therapists with patient care as her school schedule allows. She is currently taking classes working toward an occupational therapy degree.
Andre Albis
Andre joined MedCare as a physical therapy technician in 2019 and primarily works in our Hurricane office. He has graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and plans to start Physical Therapy school in 2022.
